A Story For Our Times
The show has been called a "cross between Oliver Twist and West Side Story", as it shows both a child lost in a system and a love story within a community at a crossroads.
Olivia O, The Musical, set in El Paso, Texas, is a story about a 14 year old girl who is separated from her mother at the US/Mexican border and sent to an abusive foster home, and her aunt who builds a community of support and activism in an effort to find her and reunite families separated by cruel immigration policies.
